Human hepatocytes

These hepatocytes were derived from iPS cells that were made from blood samples, including samples taken from substance-abusing patients such as alcohol addiction and opioid addiction. Hepatocytes were analyzed morphologically as well as for albumin production. Cells test positive for albumin. Active P450 metabolic enzymes were confirmed by LC-MS for CYP 1A, 1A2, 2B6, 2C19, 2C9, 2D6, and 3A. Recommended: Hepatocyte Maintenance Medium (cat# HM42600). Store in liquid nitrogen until ready to culture. Research use only.
