Description

Tyrosine Hydroxylase (TH) is a vital enzyme in the generation of L-DOPA from the amino acid tyrosine. TH expression is restricted in the brain, but expressed highly in locations where it is found. TH antibodies are useful in identifying chatecholaminergic neurons and dopaminergic neurons, which is particularly relevant for research into Parkinson's disease.

Immunofluorescent analysis of rat brain section stained with chicken antibody to tyrosine hydroxylase, CH22122, dilution 1:5,000 in green. The blue is Hoechst staining of nuclear DNA. CH22122 stains the dopaminergic TH-positive neurons and their processes of substantia nigra
