Description
Endomorphin 2 is an opioid peptide and is one of the two endomorphins, with the other one being endomorphin 1. It binds to the mu opioid receptor, along with endomorphin 1. Endomorphin 2 is very prevelant in the spinal cord. Upon binding to the mu opioid receptor, endomorphin 2 leads to the release of dynorphin A and met-enkephalin.
