Ouabain

Selective inhibitor of Na+ K+-ATPase isolated from Strophanthus gratus [1]. Endogenous ouabain is found in human circulation [2]. Displays cardiotonic and diuretic activity. May be used to induce hypertensive rat model. Cell permeable and active in vivo.
